Phase 2 Facility Plan

While this plan addresses items at each school, the main focus is on the High School (which is 46 years old) and would improve instructional spaces and career readiness for our children. The plan also protects our community’s investment in a fiscally-responsible manner to ensure our District has well-maintained facilities and remains competitive by addressing the following facility improvements:

  • Renovate career and technical education drafting and engineering spaces, including shop equipment (some dating back to the 1940s)

  • Expand middle school student support and guidance services

  • Modernize core high school classrooms, including the chemistry and physics labs

  • Provide additional family restrooms for privacy during school events

  • Replace pneumatic HVAC controls at high school

  • Replace middle school boilers

  • Upgrade high school electrical panels and transformers

  • Replace district phone systems and middle/high school clocks, bells, and PA systems

  • Add cooling to middle school classrooms and auditorium

  • Replace worn and malfunctioning lockers, and add display cases at the high school for awards artwork, and tech education work

  • Replace middle school auditorium curtains

  • Replace oldest section of high school roof

  • Replace high school parking lot and add spaces

  • Expand parking and improve drainage at the elementary school
